Unable to read the project file. The system cannot find the path specified.

I have come across this problem many time always forgotten how I solved it. This might be 5th -6th time I had faced this problem where I cannot load 1 or 2 projects while others load properly and irritating me. I usually get this problem when getting my files from the Source Safe. While I resolve this pathetic problem, its better for me now to note it down and avoid any future irritation of beating around the bush.

Problem
Unable to read the project file. The system cannot find the path specified.

Cause
This happens when the project file cannot be found and especially getting files from source safe.

Solution
Go to your source safe and check the destination path of the folder, subfolder or just the particular file. Sometimes the root file is pointing to right location and the sub folder is pointing to some other location. I think once this is verified your problem should be fixed and make sure to do get latest from your source again.
